The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Punjab University Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS) held a joint five-day training workshop to address the issue of gender-based violence and access to justice for women and juvenile.
ISCS Director Prof Dr Rubeena Zakar and Prof Aisha K Gill from University of Roehampton, UK, trained the participants on how to tackle the issue of domestic violence.
Dr Rubeena delivered a series of lectures on GBV, public health, human rights and the role of stakeholders. Dr Rana Malik from Gender Studies Department and Sevim Sadat Musawi along with some other academicians also addressed the participants on various issues related to GBV.
At the end of the workshop, Dr Astrid Bosch from the GIZ distributed certificates among the participants.
