LAHORE: The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) team arrested 233 culprits including 72 proclaimed offenders and eight court absconders and recovered valuables, vehicles, drugs and illegal weapons from them during the past week, rendering help to 4,909 commuters. According to details, the PHP patrolling team foiled a road robbery and arrested two culprits namely Naeem and Babar. Two pistols and valuables were recovered from them. The patrolling team also arrested a person and recovered a stolen bike from him. The 72 proclaimed offenders and court absconders included Hakim Ali, Khadim Hussain, Rashid, Saqib, Amanullah, Faiz Ahmad, Hameed, Aun, Naveed, Shoaib, Gulzar, Habibur Rahman, Muqabil Hussain, Allah Bakhsh, Irtaza, Saqlain Mushtaq, Khalid, Ghulam Shair, Mushtaq Hussain, Shahbaz, Noor Ahmad, Salim, Ashraf, Liaquat Ali, Saeed, Irshad, Mansab Ali, Akhtar Abbas, Mubashir, Shahid, Nazim Shahzad, Altaf, Arsalan, Shahid, Ashfaq, Allah Nawaz, Jalal Ahmed, Asif, Safdar, Yaqoob, Manzoor Ahmed, Ali, Qamar Zaman, Kamran, Ghulam Baqir, Ghulam Abbas, Farman, Nawaz, Qamar and Shahzad. Similarly, PHP team arrested 87 culprits namely, Arshad, Mohsin Abbas, Zahid, Latif, Shafqat, Mazhar Hussain, Tahir, Zafar, Tariq, Javed, Awais, Hassan, Ramzan, Adnan, Khurram, Wasim, Danish, Bashir Ahmed, Riasat Ali, Sajawal, Hafeez, Haq Nawaz, Israr, Irfan, Shakeel, Ghulam Murtaza, Adil, Babar, Amir, Faqeer, Bilal, Yousaf, Nauman, Abid Hussain, Waqar, Abbas, Mubashir, Naseem, Mukhtiar, Shaan, Azhar Abbas, Qadir, Bilal, Mubashar, Naseem, Mohsin, Mukhtiar, Qadoos and Rafique by taking into possession 1,828 litres liquor, 10,907 gramme hashish, 250 gramme heroin, 37 kilogramme bhang from their possession. PHP teams also arrested other 65 culprits namely Saqlain, Yasin, Sajid Ali, Saeed Ahmed, Ejaz, Sattar, Azizur Rahman, Zakaullah, Ehtisham, Mureed, Majeed, Akhtar, Rahat, Resham Ram, Muzzafar, Zaka, Abid, Ishtiaq, Sikander, Bilal Ali and Tanveer on having illicit arms and recovered 50 pistols, a Kalashnikov, 14 guns, a rifle, 52 cartridges and 477 bullets from their possession.
