LAHORE: Pakistan People Party (PPP) Senator Aitzaz Ahsan expressed grief over Begum Kulsoom Nawaz death and said that he apologised to Sharif family for hurting their sentiments with his statement about Kulsoom Nawaz’s illness. Aitzaz had doubted the illness of the former first lady and said “Harley Street Clinic is owned and operated by Sharif family.”Commenting on the demise of the former first lady, Aitzaz said he is saddened that he could not apologise to Sharif family in Kulsoom’s life. “I will attend Kulsoom Bibi’s funeral,” he said, adding: “I should have gone to the jail and met Nawaz Sharif.”Begum Kulsoom Nawaz has died of cancer in London’s Harley Street clinic today. She had been battling with lymphoma (throat) cancer since August 2017.
