ISLAMABAD: Captain (r) Safdar has been shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) after his health deteriorated in Adiala jail.
Safdar was handed one-year imprisonment by an accountability court in the Avenfield reference.
According to reports, the son-in-law of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif experienced stomach condition today after which he was shifted to the hospital.

On July 29, the former prime minister, who was jailed for corruption, was also shifted to the PIMS over health concerns.
Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz were arrested upon their arrival at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore following the accountability court’s verdict in the Avenfield property reference that sentenced them into jail for corruption.
