ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain summoned sessions of the Senate and National Assembly (NA) on March 3 and March 6 respectively to deliberate on military courts. The government will present amendment bill regarding extension of military courts in the parliament. The ruling party wanted to summon the session of National Assembly on March 4 but it was delayed due to All Parties Conference (APC) of Pakistan People’s Party. The decision for summoning national assembly on March 6 was taken after a telephonic conversation between Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and opposition leader Syed Khurshid Shah. The duration about the session of National Assembly session will be decided in the Business Advisory Committee meeting to be held under the chair of Speaker NA Ayaz Sadiq. According to press release issued by NA Secretariat President Mamnoon Hussain has summoned the NA session at 04:00 PM on March 6 in Parliament House. Constitutional amendment about revival of military courts will be presented in the house besides introducing amendment in Army Act.
