KHAIRPUR: The Sindh High Court (SHC) issued notices on Friday against 55 officials including 35 government doctors of Khairpur district, who had been working privately at healthcare centres. According to a report, a resident of Redhar town in Gambat taluka, Muhammad Hassan filed a petition at SHC against doctors who were ‘looting’ people at private clinics while they had been appointed at government hospitals. The petitioner alleged that doctors were advising patients to visit them at their private clinics and requested the court to put ban on them. The SHC issued notices to 55 officials including Sindh health secretary, health director general, Khairpur district health officer, Sukkur commissioner, Khairpur deputy commissioner, Sindh inspector general of police (IG), Sukkur deputy-inspector general (DIG) of Police, senior superintendent of police (SSP), and doctors including Dr Abdul Waheed, Dr Bushra Ramejo, Dr Afroze Lashari, Dr Tarique Mangi, Dr Kalsoom Azad, Dr Rattan Kumar, Dr Karpal Makheja, Dr Ejaz Hussain Gajani, Dr Akhtar Hussain, Dr Azad Lashari, Dr Muhammad Hussain Abro, Dr Dharam Pal, Dr Javed Ahmed Samo, Dr Abdul Ghaffar Shaikh, Dr Majid Ali Mangi, Dr Sakina, Dr Zaib un nissa Memon, Dr Naseem Shaikh, Dr Abida Shaikh, Dr Khalida Mangi, Dr. Anees Chana, Dr. Shahid Bhatti, Dr Hidayatullah Shah, Dr Pavan Kumar, Dr Kainat. The court has summoned them to appear before it on May 10. The petitioner stated that the above doctors are operating private clinics and advising to the patients to come at their clinics and their looting the public therefore imposed ban on operating of private clinics.
