When it comes to beauty trends, it almost seems like there is nothing that can stop the beauty gurus. Just when you think the beauty world has run out of ideas, they serve us up on a plate with some more bonker trends. Lately, there have been much more weirder and wilder beauty trends on the rise taking over Instagram from all across the globe. We’ve rounded them up in what we like to call the wackiest beauty trends of 2018. Will you dare to try out any of these? 1. Glitter/Sparkle roots One of the most trending searches on the internet is this fun trend! You can achieve this festive look just by using some glitter/sparkles and a bit of hair gel or pomade. Section your hair as you want, dab on some product close to your hairline, and then sprinkle away. Voila! You are ready to shine. Also, if you have to get your roots re-touched but are extremely lazy, glitter roots might be just the thing for you! 2. Fishtail eyebrows We are sure how you’ve heard of fishtail braids, but have you ever heard of fishtail BROWS? This trend basically transforms your brows into a fish’s tail. And no, no one really plucks their eyebrows into this shape; they use washable glue to point them upwards in a certain direction. 3. Pixilated lips Doesn’t this lip art remind you of the Windows 95 logo? These actually look kind of cool and futuristic. You can easily find tutorials on YouTube about this technique. This lip art has been curated by a makeup artist, Andrea Reed, who has posted several other extremely innovate looks on her Instagram account. 4. Nose Hair Extensions This creepy trend is quite self-explanatory, but for the sake of clarification, these are false eyelashes glued to a nose. Fake lashes in your nose? Just think of how ticklish it might get! 5. Tooth gems A tooth gem is a tiny rhinestone jewel attached to a tooth using a bonding agent. A tooth gem can last for almost a year, and it doesn’t get in the way of brushing your teeth. This is a 90’s trend which has made a come-back in 2018 (thanks to Instagram and Pinterest). Many celebs like Kendal Jenner, Rita Ora, and Katy Perry have been seen rocking this bedazzled trend lately.
