KASUR: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday acquitted three suspects in Kasur child abuse case due to lack of concrete evidence. ATC judge Chaudhry Ilyas announced the verdict after declaring evidences provided by the prosecution as insufficient and acquitted Haseem Amir, Faizan Majeed and Naeem Shehzad. All three suspects were accused of sexually assaulting and recording videos of a teenage boy in Kasur. Moreover, they were also accused of kidnapping and harassing victims and the families. The prosecution said that the suspects subjected the teenager to sexual assaults multiple times, while they shot videos of the act and blackmailed the families. In July 2015, the Kasur child abuse scandal was revealed when police booked a gang of 15 suspects in Hussain Khanwala village for sexually assaulting hundreds of minors and blackmailing the families using the videos.
