As we all just heard, Sohai Ali Abro is making her big-screen comeback as Zenith Irfan in the upcoming biopic Motorcycle Girl. The trailer of the film just released recently, and it has taken our breath away! Sohai makes for a very convincing 20-year-old who establishes her solid character. Also, we get to find out that her father’s passing has impacted her life in a massive way. The two-minute trailer kicks off with a rather disinterested Sohai being set up on a date for an arranged marriage with a guy, who is played by Ali Kazmi. However, there is only one thought rummaging through her head: fulfilling her father’s dreams, his life-long wish of traveling to Khanjerab (Pak-China border) on his motorcycle. We can then see Sohai suffering in her day to day business and ultimately relying on her motorcycle to take her out of her daily mess, because now, riding on it becomes more of a hobby. She is even asked to abandon her ride by her employer, played by Sarmad Khoosat. “We’re a part of the society. And we have to work according to the norms of this society,” Sarmad asserts his stance, as he tells Sohai to arrange some other way to travel to work. Not paying heed to other’s suggestions or advice, Sohai starts her father’s motorcycle and is on her way towards his dream destination. With breathtaking sceneries and awe-inspiring places, Motorcycle Girl looks absolutely brilliant. As the trailer reaches toward an end, we see Ali and his wife engaged in a heated conversation and a battered but empowered Sohai giving us hints that the film might address the issues of domestic abuse as well. Here’s the trailer for you to watch, as we definitely can’t wait for this one! Motorcycle Girl is all set to release on April 20. Written and directed by Adnan Sarwar, the film has been co-produced by Jami under his banner Azadfilm Company and also stars Samina Peerzada as Sohai’s mother.
