LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has on Wednesday summoned Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Fawad Hassan Fawad in Ashiana Iqbal housing scandal. NAB has summoned Fawad Hassan Fawad as a witness to appear before a probing committee on Thursday at 11 am to record statements pertaining the case. Earlier on February 14, Fawad was summoned to appear on the following day but the principal secretary PM did not present himself before NAB. An earlier order issued on behalf of NAB Lahore’s Director General stated that the inquiry against PLDC and LDA officials among others ‘has revealed that you are in possession of information/evidence regarding award and cancellation of contract in respect of Ashiana-e-Iqbal Project launched by Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC)’. In view of the reasons mentioned above, Fawad Hasan Fawad has been ‘called upon to appear before Combined Investigation Team (CIT)’ in order ‘to record statement’, the order read.
