Gujranwala: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Tuesday claimed to have arrested six suspected human traffickers. Deputy Director Mufakhir Adeel said that FIA teams conducted raids in Gujrat and Narowal and arrested Sajid Mehmood, Zulifqar Ali, Abdul Sattar, Sajjad Ilyas, Naseer Ahmed and Muhammad Riaz. He said that the FIA also recovered 13 passports from them. Youth gunned down: A boy was killed over an old enmity in the city on Tuesday. According to details, Mohsin, a resident of Kot Barrey Khan, was gunned down by his rivals over an old enmity. Relatives of the deceased staged a demonstration and blocked GT Road. They said that police were reluctant to trace the culprits. Khalida, mother of the deceased, said that accused Kashif and his accomplice had earlier killed one of her relatives. Police, however, claimed to have arrested an accused, Ali Ahmed Jathol, in connection with the murder of Mohsin. Rickshaw drivers’ protest: Dozens of rickshaw drivers Tuesday staged a protest against ill-behaviour of wardens and imposition of heavy fines.
