Nora Fatehi to perform at FIFA opener

Actress and performer Nora Fatehi is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Toronto. The appearance marks another major milestone in her international career and strengthens her presence on the global stage. Football fans and entertainment audiences worldwide are expected to watch the highly anticipated performance.

The opening ceremony will take place on June 12 at BMO Field. Nora Fatehi is scheduled to deliver a live singing and dance performance as part of a showcase celebrating football, music, and cultural diversity. Organizers are also planning a Canada-themed segment highlighting unity and inclusion.

Fatehi will share the stage with internationally renowned artists, including Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, and Alessia Cara. Other FIFA-related ceremonies across the United States and Mexico are also expected to feature major global stars, further elevating the tournament’s entertainment profile.

The performance marks Fatehi’s second association with the FIFA World Cup after her appearance at the 2022 tournament in Qatar. Her return reflects FIFA’s continued confidence in her international appeal and growing fan base. Supporters have described the achievement as a proud moment for artists of South Asian origin on the world stage.

Meanwhile, Fatehi recently announced the release of “SIIR SIIR,” an official FIFA World Cup song linked to the tournament. She shared the update through social media, revealing that the music video will debut on June 8. The opening ceremony is expected to be one of the biggest entertainment spectacles of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
