‘Govt, allies united in efforts to craft people-centric budget’

Published on: June 6, 2026 4:40 AM

Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry Friday said that the government was in close coordination with all allied parties on budget-related matters, assuring that their serious concerns and demands would be given due consideration and addressed on a priority basis.

While speaking in an exclusive conversation with a local media outlet, Danyal Chaudhry said that a people-first budget was being developed through broad-based political consultations with all coalition partners.

He said that the government was committed to ensuring consensus and incorporating constructive suggestions from allied parties in the budget-making process.

He emphasized that reservations and concerns were a democratic right of every political party and should be viewed positively.

Daniyal said the government respects the viewpoints of its coalition partners and that all serious concerns and legitimate demands would be addressed on a priority basis in the larger public interest.

Responding to another question regarding the NFC mechanism, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said that there was a pressing need to review and modernize the existing framework in line with contemporary economic realities and national requirements. He stressed that all stakeholders would be taken on board during any consultative process.

He said the government and its coalition partners were united in their commitment to steering the country towards economic stability, sustainable growth and tangible development outcomes. Through mutual understanding and constructive engagement, they aimed to achieve decisions that would serve the broader national interest, he mentioned.

The parliamentary secretary emphasized that the government believed in dialogue, consensus and political accommodation rather than confrontation.

He said that all allied parties would move forward together, adding that a cooperative and consultative approach was essential for achieving progress and strengthening democratic institutions.

Responding to a query, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said there was no question of any divide within the coalition, as allied parties were an integral part of the government.

He emphasized that the spirit of unity and cooperation among coalition partners would continue, adding that all parties were working together to ensure political stability, economic progress and effective governance in the country.
