The lawsuit was brought by Lorrayne Mavromatis, who previously worked as a social media manager. She alleges that she faced gender bias, sexual harassment, and retaliation during her employment. The complaint also claims she was terminated shortly after returning from maternity leave.

In response, legal filings submitted in North Carolina on behalf of MrBeast and his associated companies, including MrBeastYouTube LLC and GameChanger 24/7 LLC, strongly deny the accusations. The defence argues that the termination was a legitimate business decision tied to internal restructuring rather than discrimination.

According to the documents, the company described the claims as “categorically false” and rejected allegations of retaliation, emotional distress, and violations of employment laws, including those related to maternity leave. It stated that the decision to end the employee’s role was part of broader organisational changes affecting an underperforming segment of the business.

Mavromatis has also filed a complaint with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, alleging discrimination based on sex and pregnancy. She claims she was expected to continue working during childbirth and was dismissed less than three weeks after returning to work.

The company further argued that the lawsuit is an attempt to gain public attention by targeting a high-profile online creator. It has formally requested the court to dismiss the case. The matter remains under legal review, and no final ruling has been issued.
