LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah said that the PML-N Chief [Nawaz Sharif] did not need Zardari’s help. The statement came few hours after Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, reportedly, rejected the ousted premier Nawaz Sharif’s meeting invitation. In response, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that Nawaz did not express any wish to meet with Zardari. “If Nawaz Sharif meets anyone, it will be only for the sake of democracy and holding the general elections on time,” he said and added that Zardari became a hurdle in the way of timely elections. Commenting on the ongoing sit-in in Islamabad, he said that the protesters did not have any political demands. The minister, however, hoped that there would be a breakthrough in a week.
