In a statement shared on social media, Wattoo said Khan told his wife during a prison meeting that he remained deeply worried about his eye, which had shown little improvement despite ongoing treatment. She said he complained that blood tests conducted by government-appointed doctors had not been shared with him, and that he would remain unconvinced of their findings even if provided.

Following the meeting, Bushra Bibi urged the legal team of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder to immediately approach the Supreme Court of Pakistan for an emergency hearing. She demanded that Khan’s personal doctors be granted permission to examine him in custody and review all medical tests without delay.

Wattoo also appealed to PTI leaders to ensure adequate medical care for Khan and to raise concerns about his health before human rights organisations and international media. She said the former premier required regular, specialised treatment and monitoring given his deteriorating condition.

The PTI founder has been incarcerated at Adiala Jail since 2023. Party leaders and family members have repeatedly expressed concern about his health, calling for independent medical access and transparency regarding his treatment while in custody.
