Russia launched a fresh wave of missiles and drones across Ukraine on Tuesday, killing at least three people, including a child, and forcing emergency power cuts nationwide as families prepared for Christmas. As a result, authorities said the coordinated assault disrupted daily life across multiple regions, underscoring the growing civilian toll as the war enters its fourth year.
Meanwhile, the heaviest damage hit energy facilities in western regions, while deaths were reported in the central Zhytomyr area and near Kyiv, where several civilians were also wounded during the strikes. Consequently, officials warned that continued attacks on infrastructure could worsen winter hardships, especially for households already facing power shortages and freezing temperatures.

Furthermore, he stressed that attacking homes before Christmas showed deliberate disregard for civilian safety, urging stronger global pressure on Moscow.
