Utility crews worked throughout the day and managed to restore electricity to most customers by 11 p.m., while approximately 35,000 homes remained without power late into the night.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported among workers or the public, even as traffic signals failed, roads clogged, and several businesses temporarily shut down due to safety concerns.

The city’s emergency management department urged residents to limit non-essential travel, treat dark traffic signals as four-way stops, and avoid overloading appliances once electricity returned.
Although restoration efforts progressed steadily, authorities said crews would continue working overnight, assuring residents that full power restoration remained a top priority across affected neighborhoods.
