
KARACHI: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to strengthen cooperation in information technology and sports, marking a new phase in their growing partnership focused on youth development and innovation.
The signing ceremony took place at Governor House Karachi in the presence of Prince Mansour bin Mohammad bin Saad Al Saud and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori.

Under the MoUs, both countries will work together on IT education, youth exchange programmes, training, and joint sporting events to enhance people-to-people ties.
Governor Tessori said the agreements would help unlock the potential of Pakistan’s youth and promote modern education and innovation. He also announced plans for a friendly cricket match between the two nations.

Meanwhile, Prince Mansour met with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to discuss trade and investment opportunities. The KCCI leadership urged Saudi investors to explore petrochemical, agriculture, and IT sectors, highlighting the need for a domestic naphtha cracker facility to strengthen Pakistan’s industrial base.

Prince Mansour praised Pakistan’s young talent and reaffirmed Riyadh’s commitment to expanding cooperation in energy, manufacturing, agriculture, and digital sectors under Saudi Vision 2030.
The visit and new MoUs reflect renewed momentum in Pakistan-Saudi relations, focusing on youth empowerment, technology, and industrial investment to build a sustainable future.
