CHINIOT – A suspected outlaw was killed in an exchange of fire with the Crime Control Department (CCD) police in the Sadar police limits on Thursday night, Dunya News reported.
The deceased was identified as Sirja, whose body was shifted to DHQ Hospital for medicolegal formalities. Police said he was wanted in multiple cases of robberies and other serious crimes.

According to officials, three suspects on a motorcycle were signalled to stop at a checkpoint but opened fire instead. Police retaliated, killing one suspect on the spot, while his two accomplices managed to flee under the cover of darkness.
Police have launched raids to arrest the fleeing suspects.
