The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has filed cases against three popular YouTubers for promoting online gambling. Rajab Butt, Anas Ali, and Hurairah are accused of endorsing betting apps and misleading the public. Officials say the cases were registered in Lahore under PECA, fraud, and related laws.
Authorities claim the influencers acted as brand ambassadors for gambling platforms. They allegedly encouraged followers to invest money with false promises of high returns. Before taking action, the NCCIA issued warnings to the YouTubers — but they continued promoting the apps.

Many citizens filed complaints after losing large amounts of money through these schemes. Victims said they were misled by trusted influencers into investing their savings. As losses mounted, concern grew over the misuse of social media for fraud.
Rajab Butt, one of Pakistan’s top YouTubers, is the main suspect in the case. He is accused of promoting betting apps and running a scheme to exploit users. Alongside him, other influencers were also summoned for questioning by the agency.
The NCCIA warned that failure to respond to the notices would be taken as an admission of guilt. Authorities said legal action will continue against those involved in digital fraud. Investigations are ongoing as the crackdown on online gambling promotion intensifies.
