SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur Police claimed to have arrested one of the alleged killers of policemen identified as Nisar Sabzoi having Rs 500,000 head money after an encounter near Marri Sharif in limits of Lakhi Ghulam Shah Police Station. However his accomplices managed to escape from the scene. Police has recovered one TT pistol from his possession. The criminal was involved in attacking police pickets in 2015 during which one Assistant Sub Inspector and a police constable were killed, police claimed. The arrested man was wanted by Kamber-Shahdadot, Ghotki and Shikarpur police in more than 30 cases of kidnapping for ransom, highway dacoities, robberies on Indus Highways and looting passenger of coaches, police concluded. SSP Shikarpur Umar Tufail has announced Rs 100,000 reward money for raiding team. The arrested dacoit was moved to District Headquarters Hospital Shikarpur for medical treatment.
