Historic decision by CM Punjab leads to reduction in roti, naan prices

In a landmark move aimed at providing relief to the people, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a significant reduction in the prices of Roti and naan across the province.

This decision, hailed as historic by many, underscores the commitment of the government to prioritize the welfare of its citizens, especially the economically disadvantaged.Under the new pricing structure, the cost of 100 grams of Roti has been fixed at a mere 16 rupees, while naan, previously considered beyond the reach of the poor, is now available for just 20 rupees.

This reduction in prices applies uniformly throughout the province, ensuring equitable access to affordable staple foods for all residents.While talkingto the media, Sohail Shaukat Butt, the provincial Minister of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, lauded Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision and compassion in making this decision. He emphasized that such measures are vital to addressing the needs of the people and alleviating economic burdens on households.In addition to announcing the price reduction, Minister Sahib Shaukat Butt highlighted the government’s proactive approach to addressing any grievances related to roti and naan prices.

Citizens are encouraged to report any concerns by calling the complaint cell number 080002345 or by utilizing the “Qeemat Punjab App” for immediate resolution.Furthermore, Minister Sohail Shaukat Butt underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the new pricing policy through rigorous monitoring mechanisms.

This underscores the government’s dedication to upholding transparency and accountability in all its initiatives.The decision to lower roti and naan prices reflects Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s unwavering commitment to serving the people of Punjab.
