Sir: It is a common fact that women in our society are deprived of their due rights and they are viewed as sex objects. The killing of women in the name of so-called ‘honour’ is very common in our society. According to a UN report, more than 1,000 women and girls are being killed in the name of honour in Pakistan annually. In our society, male dominance is prevalent. Men consider themselves superior and believe that women are their salves. The government should take bold steps for bringing an end to this discrimination in society. WAHEED HAIDERKech
