Sir: Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan in terms of land area, which covers 44 percent, and the smallest by population. It is the richest province of Pakistan due to the existence of valuable minerals like gold, copper and gas besides having a deep seaport. Despite all these resources, the province is still backward and deprived of the basic amenities of life. There are 32 districts including Kech, which is the one of the biggest districts in Balochistan and the native home of present Chief Minister of Balochistan. The residents of Ketch are deprived of basic facilities such as health, education and housing. According to UNICEF, about 60 percent people are living without health facilities. Among every ten women, one dies during pregnancy in Balochistan. It has only one District Headquarters Hospital, which is situated in Tehsil Turbat and the people from far flung areas such as Zamuran, Buleda, Dasht and Hoshab reach there for treatment, due to which the child mortality rate is increasing day by day. The government of Balochistan should take serious action otherwise the situation will become worse in Balochistan. SHAY FAIST
