ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) President Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan on Saturday rejected Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly Elections and claiming rigging. While addressing a news conference, Sultan predicted that the newly-elected government of the AJK Legislative Assembly would collapse soon, and that that he foresaw free, fair and transparent elections within six months. He said that they would launch a protest movement against rigging in elections after joining forces with opposition parties. He said that the fraudulent elections will have an impact across the country. While leveling these serious accusations, Sultan said that the organised rigging was conducted in a very scientific and technical matter. He said that Rs 2 billion were distributed prior to the elections, while every PML-N candidates received Rs50 million each for voter purchase and electoral rigging. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had launched an election campaign against him on the orders of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while Rs150 million were given to his political opponent. PTI AJK President also said that the army had nothing to do with polling stations or AJK Elections. Despite foul play, PTI Chairman Imran Khan showed sportsman’s spirit and congratulated PML-N, he added.
