PTI accuses PML-N of looting public money in name of uplift

Published on: February 5, 2017 11:00 PM

PESHAWAR: The Advisor to the chief minister for Housing, Dr Amjad Ali, criticised Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PLM-N) for its unprecedented corruption and plundering the public money in the name of developmental schemes and hinted of dire accountability.

Dr Amjad Ali while speaking to the media in Peshawar criticised Enginer Amir Muqam, adviser of the Premier and said that the people of the province would never vote the PML-N in the coming general election as the legacy of the party was dinted by the spots of corruption. Amir Muqam could not divert the public mind set by making a false announcement of developmental schemes at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as the voters of the province are well aware of his party’s performance during the current four years of government he added.

He said Amir Muqam’s dream of being the next chief minister of KP would never be realised and he should prepare himself along with the party leaders at the centre for accountability.

The PML-N has spent three terms of governments at the centre but Amir Muqam should tell the province which of the developmental schemes and projects was initiated in the province Dr Amjad Ali maintained.

Dr Amjad Ali warned Amir Muqam for levelling false accusations against PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran in his public speeches and asked him to speak about the Panamagate scandal instead of maligning the name of PTI.

Billion Tree Tsunami: The Provincial Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser said he was determined to achieve the goals of the Billion Tree Tsunami project, initiated by the PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf to keep the environment green and clean for coming generations of the entire region. According to a press release issued from the office of the information department Asad Qaiser was speaking at the inauguration of the tree plantation campaign in Ala-Dheer, Swabi, on Sunday.

The Adviser to the chief minister for environment Ishtiaq Urmar and Parliamentary Secretary of Anti-Corruption Establish-ment Dr Haider Ali planted the trees to set the campaign across the province.

Tehsil Nazim of Chota Lahore Sohail Khan, tehsil member Ismail Khan and official of the Wild Life and Environment were also present on the occasion.

The forest division of the district briefed Asad Qaiser that besides the district the tree plantation campaign under the Billion Tree Tsunami had been initiated where eight kinds of tree will be planted at the province.

They said that the provincial government had successfully succeeded in growing around four million trees for a safe and clean environment of the region in the project; additionally 300 million planted trees were rehabilitated in the province.

The provincial government has put all available resources for the project in order to declare the region safe in term of environment issues and all plants been planted were the precious assets of people living in the region Asad Qaiser maintained.

The project will boost the revenue of the province in term of tourisms once the project gets completed at the province at large he added.
