Pharrell Williams doesn’t seem too ‘Happy’ celebrating Holi for the first time

Published on: March 5, 2018 7:51 PM

American rapper, Pharrell Williams, was in India this week to pull the curtains off his latest sneaker collection inspired by Holi. According to Buzzfeed, the songwriter celebrated the festival in full swing with none other than Ranveer Singh, who played Pharrell’s very own fellow brand ambassador to Adidas.

However, the pictures that have come about show that he was not the ‘Happy’ Pharell that he usually is. His facial expressions throughout the festival, at large, showed a very disinterested Parrell amidst locals who enjoyed the celebrations.

It even seemed like Ranveer’s iconic Malhari didn’t seem to impress the 44-year-old lad.

Twitter was indeed quite amused at the sad version of Happy Pharrell.

First it was Ed Sheeran. Now Pharell. What exactly do our celebrity Indian hosts do with these international stars? Must take a lot of effort to make the man who sang ‘Happy’ to be so sad. #pharellwilliams pic.twitter.com/XT0j8K94jJ

@nowme_datta these pictures of @Pharrell either he was too high or too sad #pharellwilliams …it’s hilarious what they did with him 😈 pic.twitter.com/vsv2WdVaNO

This is not the first time international stars have had to have their souls suffer in silence while visiting Bollywood. Earlier, Ed Sheeran was made part of a tour to India. While the A-listers of B-Town partied, Ed Sheeran seemed quite the odd one out in their company.

Bombay first destroyed Ed Sheeran’s soul, and now destroyed Pharrell. Who’s next? pic.twitter.com/XB8YV0yv4p

Awkward? Very much.

Going by the look of his photos, we wonder if he would ever like to come back to the country again.
