Indian media has claimed that backchannel diplomacy has taken place between Pakistan and India following the May 2025 conflict. The reports suggest informal engagements involving former diplomats, politicians, and experts from both sides. The report claims the first informal meeting took place two months after the May 2025 conflict. It added that early discussions were tense and cautious in tone. Additionally, later rounds reportedly showed more restrained and constructive engagement.
The fourth round of talks is said to have been held in Doha in February this year. However, the report did not provide official confirmation from either government. Furthermore, details of participants and agenda remain largely undisclosed.
