ISLAMABAD – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to launch a comprehensive crackdown against corruption across government institutions, reinforcing a zero-tolerance policy.

During a visit to the FIA Headquarters in Islamabad, the minister reviewed ongoing infrastructure development projects and assessed their progress. He instructed officials to ensure the timely completion of construction work and emphasised the importance of strengthening institutional capacity.
Naqvi said the government was committed to eliminating corruption in line with the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He stressed that strict accountability measures must be implemented to improve transparency and restore public trust in state institutions.
Highlighting reforms within the FIA, the minister announced that the restructuring process would be completed by December this year. He added that the agency would be transformed into a more efficient and proactive force capable of tackling complex crimes.
The interior minister also directed officials to closely monitor overseas job advertisements through digital platforms to prevent fraudulent schemes targeting job seekers. He emphasised the need for public awareness campaigns to protect citizens from misleading and illegal recruitment practices.
Naqvi further stated that the FIA would be organised as a frontline force against organised crime, including cybercrime, human trafficking and financial fraud. He assured full government support to the agency in achieving these objectives.
During the visit, Director General FIA Usman Anwar briefed the minister on the organisation’s performance, challenges and ongoing initiatives.
