331 Afghan combatants killed in Operation Ghazab lil-Haq: Tarar

Published on: February 28, 2026 12:29 PM

Security forces killed 331 Afghan combatants and destroyed 104 check posts during Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said Saturday. The escalation followed alleged cross-border attacks by the Afghan Taliban regime along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The clashes have intensified tensions between the two neighboring countries and directly affected military personnel on both sides.

In a post on X, Tarar said more than 500 Afghan combatants were also injured during the operation. He claimed Pakistani forces destroyed 163 tanks and military vehicles belonging to the Afghan Taliban. Additionally, he said 37 locations across Afghanistan were effectively targeted through air strikes. He added that 22 Taliban check posts were taken over by Pakistani troops during the ongoing action.
