
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar inaugurated Pakistan’s new consulate chancery in Jeddah, marking a significant step toward improving diplomatic outreach and consular services for overseas Pakistanis.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, senior officials, and Saudi dignitaries, reflecting strong bilateral cooperation and mutual respect between the two countries.

During the event, the national flag was hoisted, a ribbon was cut, a commemorative plaque was unveiled, and prayers were offered for peace, prosperity, and lasting friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented an overview of the new building, highlighting modern facilities designed to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and service quality for the Pakistani community.
Speaking on the occasion, Dar emphasized the government’s commitment to protecting overseas Pakistanis’ interests, while appreciating Saudi authorities for their continued support in strengthening consular cooperation.
