On December 30, Orry took to Instagram to counter the narrative being pushed on social media and by some media outlets. He shared what he described as “real-time footage” showing Veer Pahariya’s genuine reaction during Sutaria’s on-stage performance of Thodi Si Daaru. In the now-viral video, Pahariya can be seen enjoying the moment, swaying to the music and asking Orry to film Sutaria’s performance, contradicting claims that he appeared uncomfortable.

Calling out selective reporting, Orry captioned the clip, “What the media won’t show you. So I will, real-time footage.” The video was later reshared by both Sutaria and Pahariya on their respective Instagram Stories, lending further weight to Orry’s defence.
The controversy escalated after a social media influencer alleged that content creators were being supplied with coordinated “talking points” and derogatory captions aimed at maligning Sutaria’s image. The influencer claimed these captions were circulated among hundreds of creators and meme pages. Sutaria herself addressed the matter publicly, sharing screenshots of an alleged PDF document containing the captions.
In her statement, Sutaria expressed distress over what she described as a deliberate attempt to harm her reputation, relationship and career. “These are the captions and talking points sent out to hundreds of content creators and thousands of meme pages. All to malign my image, ruin my relationship and career? Shameful and sick,” she wrote.
She further added that seeing others happy often provokes negativity, stressing that she would continue to speak up and share the truth. The actress also urged followers to judge the situation for themselves rather than relying on manipulated narratives.
