Director James Cameron has shared detailed instructions with cinemas to ensure the perfect viewing experience for his upcoming film, Avatar: Fire and Ash. The letter has gone viral online, offering insight into the meticulous preparations behind the blockbuster’s release.

The note, shared by the official X account of Avatar 3: Fire and Ash, asks theater technicians to carefully follow guidelines on lighting, sound, and projection. Cameron emphasized the importance of calibrating both picture and audio to deliver the intended cinematic impact to audiences.

“Dear theater technician, my team and I are very excited to deliver Avatar: Fire and Ash over to you to present to the public,” the director wrote. He also included a projection specification file and framing chart along with the digital cinema package (DCP).

Cameron specifically requested that technicians thoroughly review the instructions before screening, ensuring proper light levels, audio configuration, and framing are adhered to. This approach underscores his commitment to a premium cinematic experience, especially for viewers seeing the film in theaters for the first time.

Avatar: Fire and Ash features an ensemble cast including Zoe Saldana, Kate Winslet, Sam Worthington, Stephen Lang, and Oona Chaplin. The film is slated for a global release on December 19, promising audiences cutting-edge visuals and immersive storytelling.
