RAWALPINDI: Punjab government has accorded approval to set up a ‘Civil Security Intelligence Wing (CSIW)’ to monitor security of public parks and educational institutions in Rawalpindi. According to sources, 100 newly trained police personnel would be given the task to review security arrangements of public parks and educational institutions. Rawalpindi police have set up a special squad of 650 personnel to curb crimes and to deal with emergencies. The squad has recently completed its training and 100 persons would be allocated for the CSIW for the security of parks and educational institutions in the city.
