Following the popularity of the Turkish series Ertugrul Ghazi, another historical series has been announced by producer Mehmet Bozdag. He said that the project was started two years ago with the request of the Uzbekistan government adding that the 13 episodes of the series have already shot. Bozdağ said that they tried to provide a new perception in terms of “cinema language,” highlight the plot that the series’ core concept is its originality. “We tried to present Uzbek culture, geography, and history of the Transoxianan region in this series,” he said. Resurrection Ertuğrul is a serial set in 13th century Anatolia and tells the story of Turks in the region before the establishment of the Ottoman Empire. It illustrates the struggle of Ertuğrul Ghazi, father of the empire’s first leader.
