Mohammad Shehzad

Politics sans morality

Published on: July 24, 2017 4:00 AM

July 24, 2017 by Mohammad Shehzad

Our politicians seem to be sans decency. Instead of statesmanship, lewd pun is their hallmark. When Sheikh Rashid (SR) used to be Sharifs’ bootlicker, he would make highly unsavoury comments about Benazir. The tradition goes on. He has been replaced by Talal Chaudhry (TC). The victim is Benazir’s son Bilawal who demanded Sharif’s resignation. See TC’s reply: Tum laynai sako gay. Bachay ho. Bohat takleef ho gee.

Useless to have a beef with TC since he is just reserves of filth but the disappointment is with the self-proclaimed daughter of the nation Maryam Safdar. How can she tolerate such scumbags? Dr Amjad reminds TC his pedigree. ‘TC should not forget he used to dance in front of Musharraf’s car!’ Jung, July 5.

Javed Hashmi gives SR the same treatment: ‘SR used to lick my boots. Then he became Musharraf’s bootlicker. Now he is Imran Khan’s biggest bootlicker! He was also a bootlicker of Nawaz Sharif.’ All papers, July 12.

It is wrong to say that Imran Khan promoted the use of filthy language in politics. His words sound decent before the ones that SR, Jamshed Dasti and TC use against Bilawal — an alma mater of the Oxford and others.

Dawn, a secular paper founded by Mohammad Ali Jinnah now uses term ‘martyr’ for the security personnel but the practice lacks consistency. Armed forces personnel are always martyrs. Police personnel are sometimes ‘killed’ and sometimes ‘martyred’.

Constabulary men martyred in Quetta, June 12.

‘PTI is a landa bazaar
(market for used clothes) of deserters: PML-N’

Two navy officials martyred in Jiwani attack, June 20.

DPO among three killed in Chaman suicide blast, July 11.

SP, three guards martyred in Quetta, July 14

Panama Proceedings:

The real business of Nawaz Sharif is corruption. Jung, July 20. Those who are advising Sharif to stay are making his political coffin. Nawa-i-Waqt, July 20.

Tracing the roots of corruption, Abid Sher Ali says the pioneer was Imran Khan’s father! And his lawyer Babar Awan is a fraudia insaan. Jung, July 21

Sharif should not humiliate his kids and father. He should apologize to the nation. The corrupt clique has hidden behind the cover of Kaba (corrupt tola ghilaf-e-kaba may bhi ja chupay!). Sirajul Haq, JI chief, Express July 3

Nawaz Sharif has no other objective but to humiliate the institutions: Dr Asim. Express, July 21

PML-N says Panama is a foreign conspiracy. Khurshid Shah says Sharif should whisper the conspirator’s name into his ear! Jasarat, July 7

JIT is doing a PhD on Sharifs. Rana Sanaullah, June 14

Ghulam Bilour: Sharif as the first prime minister in the Islamic history whose kids were also dragged in the court. Jung, July 19

TC says every Tom, Dick and Harry can become prime minister in Pakistan except Imran Khan. Ausaf, July 10

SR says saboot, bhoot and taboot (evidence, ghosts and coffins) will come out of JIT report. Express, July 10, 2017

Maryam’s husband Safdar says Imran Khan always uses artificial crutches! As if N-League always used the genuine crutches! Jung, July 14

Khawaja Asif: Imran Khan is a Benarsi thug. His turn to become prime minister will never come. There is difference between balla-chalana (cricket) and mulk chalana (running country). Imran Khan should lock his mouth. Ausaf, July 10

Now no Modi, Trump or prince will come to Nawaz Sharif’s help. This time he would not fly to Jeddah but land at Adiala Jail. Imran Khan, Express, July 17

Liaquat Baloch says treason with the Kashmir cause is a greater issue than Panama. Nawa-i-Waqt, July 20

Zardari says those who sell sarya (steel) can’t run the country. Ummat, July 7. Bilawal says Nawaz Sharif is a thief. Imran Khan is a liar. Both are the same sides of a coin. Ausaf, June 18

PTI is a Landa bazaar (market of used clothes) of deserters: PML-N, Express, June 25

Ansar Abbasi says if Pakistanis would have been introduced to Islam, Ahmadpur Sharqia tragedy could have been avoided. Jung, July 3. PPP is the only political party in Pakistan that learnt no lesson from the past. Jung, July 6

Zardari calls deserters like Firdous Ashiq Awan and Babar Awan as rotten eggs who Imran Khan would never give tickets to. All papers, July 2

If Syed Salahuddin is a terrorist then Nelson Mandela and George Washington were also terrorists, says JI chief Sirajul Haq, Ummat, July 10

Arif Bahar says in Jasarat, June 12, that Israel is the only peaceful place in the entire Middle East.

Hafiz Mohammad Idrees says Trump was the dulha (groom) of Islamic Summit in Saudi Arabia whose dulhan (bride) will not let him hold her hand. Jasarat, May 28

MQM was founded in the name of Mohajirs. Mustafa Kamal took birth from the womb of MQM. He too played the Mohajir card all his life. Now he tells Express, June 14 that the Mohajir card has become old. He smells blood in it!

Nahid Khan and Safdar Abbasi tell BBC Urdu that Zardari has caused a colossal damage to the PPP. Now he should have mercy on it and quit it! June 14
