Produced by 7th Sky Entertainment, drama serial ‘Munafiq,’ after a successful run, ended recently. The drama kept its audience glued to their screens, garnered high TRPs, and significant popularity based on its compelling storyline and phenomenal acting. Written by Hina Huma Nafees, directed by Saleem Ghanchi, ‘Munafiq’ had some fantastic performances to its credit. Starring Mariyam Nafees, Adeel Chaudary, Fatima Effendi, Marina Khan, and Bilal Qureshi in pivotal roles, the drama was full of twists and turns to keep us captivated to it and bring record-breaking ratings. In those 60 episodes of ‘Munafiq,’ it proved to be a game-changer in the entertainment industry with its successful performance when it comes to ratings. Munafiq dominated the TRP ratings for Geo Television various times. Its indulging episodes not only made it one of the most loved dramas amongst the audience, but also made it the first drama serial that maintained the highest ratings through its run in the 7 PM slot. The last episode of Munafiq also got record-breaking high TRPs, which also depicted its popularity amongst its viewers and how much it had successfully captured the attention of the audience. ‘Munafiq’ had a powerful and emotional ending that showed that the strength of motherhood was more overpowering than the wealth that Ujala’s in-laws. Marina Khan played the manipulative Sabiha perfectly, while Adeel Chaudhry as a fiery, cruel, and intimidating young man, was phenomenal. Fatima Effendi aced her role as the series lead Ujala and portrayed Ujala’s grievances and sorrows meticulously on screen. Maryam Nafees and Bilal Qureshi also owned their characters and made great supporting characters.
