Baba Guru Nanak’s Gurbani launchedThe launch of Baba Guru Nanak‘s Gurbani – a composition of the Sikh Gurus – was arranged by the Chamber of Commerce Shikarpur with the collaboration of Interfaith Harmony Centre at Shaheed Bhagat Kanwar Auditorium at the Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur. Dr Ghulam Raza Bhatti, the vice chancellor of SAU, said that after tremendous efforts of people of Shikarpur, the Shaikh Ayaz University was established, and added that the first responsibility of the university was to produce morally rich persons and later good doctors, engineers and etc. Regarding the launch, he said the Gurbani in Sindhi language was a treasure, and added that it could be accessed through the Internet. He invited help from institutes or philanthropists to establish a digital lab at the SAU, through with a lot of important books could be made available online so that everyone could get benefit from the e-books. Dada Reva Chand acclaimed the efforts of the SAU administration, and shed light on the Gurbani of Baba Guru Nanak. He said that he had kept all 26 editions of the book in the library of his elders, but now all 26 editions had been published for the people to read. He urged the audience to work for the Sami Chair at the Shaikh Ayaz University. Ram Singh said that the Gurbani had been started by Baba Guru Nanak, and added that 10 gurus and 15 followers had been mentioned in this Gurbani. He said Kabir and Kalams of Baba Farid had also been included in the book.
