Singer Sara Haider of ‘Coke Studio’ fame has made Pakistan proud with her multiple achievements. After winning over the hearts of Pakistanis with her debut at ‘Coke Studio’, she has now graduated from the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She delivered the commencement speech at the graduation ceremony and also received the acclaimed Charles Jehlinger Award for Excellence in Acting. Sharing a clip from her speech on her Instagram, Sara Haider wrote, “We introduce Sara Haider – the 2019 graduating class student speaker and recipient of this year’s Charles Jehlinger Award for excellence in acting.” Out of 134 years of the academy’s existence, Sara is the first Pakistani to be bestowed with the honour. Can you imagine what the rest of us can do? The Charles Jehlinger Award is given to students who come closest to personifying Jehlinger’s ideals by exhibiting excellence as a person and an artist and who display professionalism towards the art. Her sister Erum Haider said in her Tweet that Sara has also been accepted on full scholarship to globally recognised Julliard as well. She will be the first Pakistani at Juilliard school with full scholarship. We congratulate Sara for her achievements and making Pakistan immensely proud!
