Rohit Shetty becomes the most successful director of B-town

Published on: January 4, 2019 12:11 AM

As we all know that Rohit Shetty is known for his full packed masala films that are appreciated both by single screen as well as multiplex audiences. You will find action, romance, drama, music and flying cars in a Rohit Shetty directed movie.

With the success of ‘Simmba,’ Shetty has achieved another milestone. He has become the first Bollywood director to have 8 movies in 100 Cr club. Over the span of time, Shetty has collaborated with superstars like Ajay Devgan, Shah Rukh Khan and now with Ranveer Singh

Shetty is the mastermind of the blockbuster Golmaal franchise. He also directed the Singham franchise. Along with this, he did back to back successful movies with Shah Rukh Khan and now when he collaborated with Ranveer Singh, he did not disappoint at all.

Shetty might not be much appreciated by critics but the box office numbers speak for him. Every time he comes up with something new, he is able to connect with the audiences

The journey of 100 cr club started from ‘Golmaal 3’ in (2010) and then there was no looking back for him. His other films that entered the 100 cr club are ‘Singham’ (2011), ‘Bol Bachchan’ (2012), ‘Chennai Express’ (2013), ‘Singham Returns’ (2014), ‘Dilwale’ (2015), ‘Golmaal Again’ (2017) and ‘Simmba’ (2018).

Shetty might not be much appreciated by critics but the box office numbers speak for him. Every time he comes up with something new, he is able to connect with the people.

Not only in the domestic circuit but also in the international circuit, his movies have a decent track record. As he says that he makes those movies which he likes not which critics or film experts like and perhaps this is the reason of his success.

As per sources, Shetty is planning to start the third installment of Singham franchise and will start the shoot in mid 2019. Singham is already a super-hit franchise so we can expect another blockbuster from the successful director.
