A peaceful night
Families having dinner together
Kids playing
People preparing for their next day
A strange sound that shakes the earth,
People are frightened
Bombs falling into houses
Homes collapsing,
Gunshots echo
Kids trembling with fear,
Civilians running for their lives
A child in search of their mother in the scattered neighbourhood,
People getting shot while running, falling like dominoes
The survivors mourning for their loved ones
Kith and kin worrying if their dearest ones have made it out live,
Day after day, night after night, the blood flows
The cities heart turns into cement
An orphan boy in the dark looking up at the bright moon wishing,
“Tomorrow’s going to be a good day”
