
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is reported the third richest in the world.
The 34 year old surpassed investor Warren Buffet, who currently trails behind Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.
According to Bloomberg Zuckerberg on Friday took over the third spot from Buffet.
The recent taking over now means that the first time the world’s three richest people have made a fortune from the technology sector.
Zuckerberg is now worth $81.6 billion exceeding approximately $373 million from the 87 year old Buffet.
Buffet was once the world’s richest person, who has now slid down to number 4.
According to the Bloomberg Index fortunes from the technology sector make up about a fifth of more than $5 trillion than any other sector.
Facebook, though been in a string of scandals facing scrutiny in the United States and Europe over allegations pertaining to Cambridge Analytica, yet Zuckerberg’s fortune doesn’t seem to be suffering.
In 2014 it was reported that Cambridge Analytica obtained data on 50 million Facebook users which was used to help elect US President Donald Trump in 2016.
Facebook’s user breach stirred quite a lot of controversy, yet it seem that Mark seems to be making a fortune out of the social media network.
