Saheefa Jabbar Khattak is known for breaking stereotypes. She likes to take the less travelled route and explore the new side of everything.
Recently, the model took on to Instagram and wrote about the issue of body image. She questioned, “Freckles, blemishes, fine lines, open pores, dark circles, acne, scars, fatness. Why should a woman worry so much for all these things?”
The model was previously back lashed for her pixie cut but it didn’t let her down.
She further wrote, “Where did that self doubt come from? Why don’t I like seeing my face in the mirror without a concealer? No matter how nicely dressed I am, no matter how well spoken and educated or successful I am, there’s always a doubt! A self doubt.”
“Why do I feel the need to shave my arms and legs every second day and let’s not forget about the painful hot wax process. I am more than this. YOU are more than this,” The 25 year old model added.
Previously, Priyanka Chopra also talked about unrealistic body standards. She said that women should love themselves and also talked about the struggles of women who are working in the entertainment industry. Chopra said, “It’s wrong that women are made to believe that it’s okay to be objectified in order to succeed.”
She further said that she loves self-care and women should not be judged for dressing up because it is a form of self-care.
She said, “As women, we don’t prioritise ourselves enough. I’m not saying become vain but sometimes, you just need a moment.”
