PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunhwa government has decided to establish complaints helpline for Pashtuns living in Punjab who has been victimized and harassed by Punjab Police. This was stated by Speaker KP Assembly Asad Qaiser in a press conference here at Peshawar on Wednesday. Asad Qaiser shows his sympathies with Pashtuns living in Punjab. Soon the KP Government will visit Punjab to hear the grievances of Pashtuns. The speaker said that already the KP Assembly unanimously passed resolution on the harassment of Pashtuns, adding that no one from Punjab government contacted with them to solve the issue. He added that on coming Monday the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet will visit to Punjab and will address the concerns and grievances of Pashtuns, adding that all the families and people we will meet who have been harassed by Punjab Police in Punjab. Asad Qaiser added that we not to weak the federation but the ethnicity on the name of Pakhtuns and racism were on high ratio, adding that such kind of step were always taken by the Punjab government. KP Education Minister Atif Khan accused chief minister Punjab for copying the racial policies of US President Donald Trump. He said that taken action against people who have track record of militancy is fine, “But harassing people on the basis of language, ethnicity and dress not tolerable.” He added that a large numbers of Pashtuns were living in Punjab and were working in different sector and contributing huge amount with national economy, adding that a large number of Punjabi living in KP but were behave with them like brother. Minister for Public Health and Engineering Shah Farman said that this was the fight of PML-N and Pashtuns because whenever they were in power they were behaving like this. Shah Farman added that Punjab is behaving like step mother with KP government, adding that if such kind of steps were taken it will repeat the history of East Bangladesh. He added that Pashtuns, Punjabi, Sindhi and Baluchi all are brothers and such kind steps of the Punjab government and Punjab police will create difference among the nation.
