LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday lashed out at opposition parties for staging a ‘circus’ at Mall Road earlier this week. Speaking to Bab-e-Pakistan inaugural ceremony, CM said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT)’s joint rally with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) among others was nothing more than a mere ‘circus’ staged by political ‘thugs’ from across the country. Taking a jibe at PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Shehbaz said that Khan is habitual of lying and leveling allegations against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders but has failed to prove anything. Shehbaz also alleged former president and PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari of embezzling the nation’s money, while also saying that PML-N will ensure the peoples party leader’s accountability in that matter. “We will bring back the money robbed by Zardari from even the furthest corner of the world,” he said.
