SUKKUR: Students and youth should focus on acquiring modern education particularly in fields of information technology and science to positively contribute in overall socio-economic development of the country. Director, Sindh Youth Organisation (SYO) and social activist, Fida Hussain Wassan advised the students to play their due role in eradicating corruption which has stunted economic growth of the country. Addressing Benazir Bhutto Women Conference at Government Girls High School, organised by SYO, Khairpur chapter, he said that Pakistan was an ideological state and a blessing of Allah Almighty. It was the responsibility of every individual to strengthen it by hard work, honesty and dedication. He advised female students to acquire maximum education even if they have to go abroad but never compromise on their national and religious identity. Wassan urged them to excel in modern sciences to carve out a niche for themselves and for their country in comity of nations. He called upon students to always be respectful to their parents and teachers and seek their prayers for attaining successes He appreciated the institution for imparting quality education to its students. Earlier, he donated water coolers to school and distributed scholarship’s cheques among needy students besides giving away awards to teachers on their good performance.
