Sir: Dealers of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) are taking advantage of the gas crisis by looting the helpless public since the advent of the winter season. They are selling 1 kilogram of LPG at the price of Rs 150, 15 kilogram LPG cylinders are being sold for Rs 2000, 11 kilogram cylinders for Rs 1600 and empty gas cylinders for Rs 5000. A single FIR hasn’t been registered against these traders. According to a report, people who belong to lower and middle segment of society are looking for cheaper cylinders which are dangerous because they can explode. The government is requested to take some solid action regarding this major crisis confronting the citizens of Pakistan. Mehrjan A. Sattar Turbat Published in Daily Times, December 9th 2017.
