
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he hopes the Iran-US ceasefire will remain stable. He added that Pakistan played a key role in stopping the conflict. Therefore, he expressed confidence that peace will continue in the region.
Speaking during a visit to Gilgit-Baltistan, the prime minister said Pakistan maintained continuous contact with both Iran and the United States. Moreover, he stated that these diplomatic efforts helped extend the ceasefire between the two sides. As a result, immediate tensions were reduced.
Shehbaz Sharif stressed that regional peace is essential for long-term stability. In addition, he said Pakistan believes dialogue is the only path to prevent further conflict. He also expressed hope that the ceasefire would become permanent in the coming days.
During his speech, the prime minister highlighted development priorities for Pakistan. He said the country cannot progress unless regions like Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are fully included in development. Furthermore, he pledged regular visits to review progress and public issues.

On the development side, he laid the foundation of four Danish schools in Gilgit-Baltistan. At the same time, he inaugurated solar panel projects and smart security systems in Gilgit and Skardu. Additionally, he launched multiple initiatives under public safety and infrastructure development programs.
He also distributed laptops among students under the Prime Minister Youth Program. In conclusion, he said Pakistan will continue both peace efforts and development projects together. Therefore, he reiterated that Pakistan’s role in regional peace, including the Iran-US ceasefire, reflects its commitment to stability and progress.
