Pakistan’s Air Force leadership said that eight Indian aircraft were shot down during the Marka-e-Haq Operation, according to Deputy Chief of Air Staff Projects Air Vice Marshal Tariq Ghazi. He made the remarks during a press briefing in Rawalpindi alongside the DG ISPR, marking one year since the operation. The statement highlighted Pakistan’s claimed air combat achievements during the conflict.
Air Vice Marshal Tariq Ghazi stated that the downed Indian aircraft included Rafale, Su-30, MiG-29, and Mirage 2000 jets. He also claimed that an expensive multi-role unmanned aerial system was destroyed during the operation. He said Pakistan’s performance in the air domain resulted in what he described as an “8–0” outcome.

He added that Pakistan’s pilots operated without fear and demonstrated strong confidence during missions. He said the armed forces view sacrifice as an honour and remain prepared for future conflicts. His remarks emphasized morale and operational readiness within the Air Force.
DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry also addressed the briefing and said Pakistan defeated a larger adversary in a multi-domain conflict. He claimed that what the world witnessed represented only a fraction of Pakistan’s overall military capability. He further said both Pakistani and Indian audiences were aware of the outcome, even if not officially acknowledged by all sides.
